Beautyheaven and I.
Now this is exciting, the website that we all know and LOVE has gone I Phone CRAZY with a new app aimed at beauty geeks just like me and you.
Imagine what it would be like to have thousands of beauty reviews at your fingertips when you’re out getting your beauty fix. Well now bonafide beauty buffs across the country will be able to check out the latest and greatest beauty buys as they shop, thanks to the new iPhone app from beautyheaven.
Find it hard to choose between lippie brands, or want to know the low-down on the latest shampoo? The beautyheaven app makes the largest beauty review database (more than 50,000 reviews on over 10,000 beauty products) accessible at any time, anywhere – for free! So long as there’s mobile reception, the world’s your oyster.
Beautyheaven has long provided beauty addicts with the tool to make informed decisions about beauty products before committing to buy. Now that research isn’t confined to the home or office – it can be done on the move while out and about, standing in-store and comparing products.
The app even features a clever search functionality to find local product stockists through Google maps and allows users to create personal wish lists to share with friends and family – perfect for upcoming present hints. It also contains a handy ingredient glossary to help consumers understand exactly what’s in the beauty products they’re buying.
With Apple expected to have a handset in the hands of 61% of Aussie mobile users this year, the app comes as an extension of the beautyheaven website – already an important pre-shop research tool for beauty consumers. Internal survey results show that, of the site’s visitors:
– 96% are influenced by the site’s product reviews
– 78% visit the site for pre-shop research
– 76% have bought a product after reading a review on the site
Having recently reached its 50,000th review and celebrated its 3rd birthday in October, beautyheaven has long been Australia’s number one beauty site. As the market leaders for online beauty, beautyheaven’s new iPhone app also represents a first to market for mobile beauty. In October, beautyheaven was also awarded a silver W3 award, which recognises outstanding websites, web marketing, web video and mobile apps.
